These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of needgas.co.uk (“our site”) and the sale of products by us to you. Please read them carefully before placing an order. By using our site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Our site is operated by Beales Market Gases Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 04080933), trading as “Need Gas”.

2. Definitions

“We”, “us”, “our” means Beales Market Gases Ltd. “You”, “your” means the person placing an order or using our site. “Products” means the gas cylinders, gas, regulators, accessories and related goods we offer. “CRA” means a Cylinder Refill Agreement.

3. Eligibility and age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to buy gas products from us. By placing an order you confirm that you are 18 or over. We may refuse or cancel an order, or refuse delivery, where we reasonably believe the buyer or recipient is under 18 or where it would be unsafe or unlawful to supply.

4. Using our site

You may use our site only for lawful purposes. You must not misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or use it in any way that could damage or impair it. We may suspend or withdraw the site, or any part of it, without notice.

5. Products and descriptions

We take care to describe and price products accurately. However:

Product images are for illustration; the cylinder or accessory supplied may vary in appearance.
We supply Calor-brand cylinders and gas. Availability of particular sizes and types may vary.
We may correct any errors in descriptions or pricing before we accept your order (see sections 7 and 8).

6. The Cylinder Refill Agreement (CRA)

Most gas cylinders are supplied under a Cylinder Refill Agreement. This means:

When you buy a cylinder for the first time, you pay a one-time CRA charge in addition to the gas.
The cylinder remains the property of Calor; you hold it under the CRA and pay for the gas and the right to exchange and refill it.
When you need more gas, you exchange your empty cylinder for a full one and pay only the refill price.
Switching to a different cylinder type may require a new CRA.
Refunds or credits relating to the CRA are subject to Calor’s terms at the time the cylinder is returned, and proof of purchase is required.

7. Your order and how a contract is formed

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we confirm acceptance of your order or dispatch the goods, whichever happens first.
If we cannot fulfil your order (for example, the product is unavailable, we cannot deliver to your area, we cannot verify you are 18+, or there has been a pricing error) we will contact you and arrange a refund of any payment taken.

8. Price and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (£). Prices are stated inclusive of VAT.
We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders we have already accepted.
Payment is taken at the time and by the methods stated at checkout.
If a product’s correct price is obviously different from the price shown and the error is one you could reasonably have recognised as a mistake, we are not obliged to supply at the incorrect price.

Payment & Security

All prices on our website are shown in GBP (£). We accept major credit and debit cards — including Visa, Mastercard and American Express — as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Our website uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption, so the information you enter at checkout is encrypted and transmitted securely — you’ll see “https” and a padlock in your browser. Payments are handled by our PCI-DSS compliant payment provider; your full card number is never stored by us or visible to us — when your order is complete we can see only your billing and delivery details and the last four digits of your card. We never rent, sell or share your personal information; see our Privacy Policy for details.

9. Delivery

We deliver across London and Essex. Free delivery is available on orders within our standard catchment area; charges may apply outside it or for certain order sizes. Enter your postcode at checkout or contact us to confirm.
We aim to deliver promptly, often next day and in some cases same day, depending on location and order time. Delivery timescales are estimates and are not guaranteed.
Someone aged 18 or over must be available to receive a gas delivery. We may ask for proof of age.
Please ensure safe, clear access for delivery. We may decline to leave cylinders where it would be unsafe to do so.

10. Risk and ownership

Risk in the products passes to you on delivery (or collection). Ownership of any gas supplied passes to you on delivery; cylinders supplied under a CRA remain the property of Calor as set out in section 6.

11. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Your right to cancel, the safety-based exceptions that apply to gas cylinders, and how refunds work are set out in full in our [Returns & Refund Policy], which forms part of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

12. Safety and correct use of LPG

Gas cylinders contain liquefied petroleum gas under pressure and must be handled with care. You agree to:

Use cylinders, regulators and appliances strictly in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and any safety guidance we provide.
Store and use cylinders upright, in well-ventilated areas, away from heat, flames and ignition sources, and never indoors unless the appliance is specifically designed for indoor use.
Check connections for leaks and never use damaged or leaking equipment.
Contact us or the emergency services immediately if you suspect a gas leak.

You are responsible for ensuring that any appliance you connect a cylinder to is suitable and in good working order. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage or injury caused by incorrect installation, connection or use of products supplied.

13. Our liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our negligence.
We are not liable for losses that are not foreseeable, or for business losses (we supply to consumers; if you buy for business purposes, our liability to you for business losses is limited to the price of the products).

14. Events outside our control

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where this is caused by events outside our reasonable control (for example, supply shortages, severe weather, or transport disruption). We will let you know and, where appropriate, offer a refund.

15. Intellectual property

All content on our site (text, images, logos and design) is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy or reuse it without our permission.

16. Privacy

We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on our site.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on our site at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
